Christmas Elf FAQs

What is the Christmas Elf Tradition?

Your Christmas Elf becomes part of your family on December 1st, sent on a special mission from the North Pole and instructed by Santa to keep an eye on behaviour in the build up to Christmas. Elf lives in your home or classroom and each night Elf gets up to funny mischief - climbing Christmas trees, getting books off the shelf, eating breakfast cereal, trying on clothes, riding on toy trains... the ideas are endless.

This lovely family tradition, is for children of all ages, bringing fun and excitement to your home or classroom in the run up to Christmas. It is a great way to promote good behaviour. Your Christmas Elf reports to Santa and grown ups can use the reward chart and stickers, Nice List certificates and report cards provided, to reward good behaviour. We have also included two Naughty List warning cards just in case you need them! Plus, Santa will send personalised emails to your children throughout December, really bringing the magic to life!

What age group will enjoy the Elf tradition?

Children from a very young age (2+) can learn the Christmas Elf tradition and it becomes part of the excitement of Christmas. My daughter Holly, at just two years old, LOVED the fun and magic of her Elf toy, she understood that Elf was checking to make sure she was being good, but that Elf could be mischievous too. We have a lot of fun and talk about "Ernie McJingle" all year round.

The mischief your Elf toy gets up to can change to suit the age of the child, making it perfect for all ages. It's as much fun for Mum and Dad, teachers (or whoever is in charge) as it is for the little people...

Are the toys safe for children?

As parents ourselves, we know how important safety and quality is. Our Christmas Elf toys are tested and suitable for children over three years old. All of our products are in compliance with UK CE (EN71) standards and Australia / New Zealand standards (AS/NZS 8124.3). We have worked hard to make sure the Elves are a good and safe product.

Where is my parcel?

You will receive an email when your order is dispatched. Please check your junk folder if you do not see an email from us. If you need an Elf more urgently please email us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Please be aware that the Christmas Elf Kit is well packed in a small cardboard box but unfortunately it won't fit through a standard letter box.

Before contacting us to report a lost or delayed parcel, please check with your local delivery office.

If there is still no sign of your parcel, please contact us look into it further for you. If you would like an Elf shipped overseas please visit www.elfforchristmas.com which offers worldwide shipping.

How does Elf arrive?

Your box will arrive unbranded, so little people can't see any sign of the magic that awaits them inside! Inside the box we have stamped the Welcome letter with the 'North Pole Elf Mail' postmark, so when you decide Elf arrives, your children will see it's authentic.

Do I need one Elf per child or one per household?

The choice is yours. We have included two Nice List Certificates and two Letters to Santa in each kit, as these items are personal. All the other items can be shared as a family. If you would like each child to have a full magical reward kit for themselves, then you can order a refill kit. The Refill Kit is also ideal for larger families with more siblings.

Advent Letters and Sticker Sets have been designed to be shared.

Our personalised book 'The Christmas Muddle' can be personalised for up to five children.

Are all Christmas Elf toys the same?

Our Elf toys are totally original and unique, no one else has anything quite the same. With endearing charm, a friendly face, a festive outfit, long legs and mischievously long arms, you won’t find any other Elves like these. Elf has been lovingly designed with no detail overlooked, specifically to appeal to children. They are real cuties!

Ah, it’s December; am I too late to start the Christmas Elf tradition?

Don’t worry! If you have only just discovered the Elf Tradition and it is already December, there is still time! There are lots of reasons why an Elf can arrive late, including snow drifts, running out of red wrapping paper or teaching a baby Elf how to make bows, are all popular Elf excuses! Even if Elf only stays with you for a few days before Christmas, it can still be A LOT of fun.

What name can I choose for my Elf toy?

Either let your child pick a favourite name for your Elf toy, or use the Christmas Elf Name Generator to get a funny festive name for your new Elf toy.

I’m a teacher, can I have extra reward charts for my class?
